 Thekwini TVET College, as a public technical and vocational education and training organization, strives to fulfill its skills development mandate through high quality teaching and learning and effective corporate governance.  They are guided by their vision, mission and values which enable them to achieve their operational targets which are aligned to the strategic goals of DHET. 

 Thekwini TVET College endeavors to support the achievement of strategic outcomes and national targets as outlined in the Department’s strategic documents, including these two sub-outcomes, namely: Sub-Outcome 2: Increased access and success in programmes leading to intermediate and high level learning; and Sub-Outcome 4: Increased access to occupationally directed programmes in needed areas and expansion of the availability of intermediate level skills with a special focus on artisan skills and entrepreneurship.

 Thekwini Tvet College is open for application for the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants can start applying to the college starting from the 1st of September 2022 through to the 30th of  September 2022. PRE-VOCATIONAL LEARNING PROGRAMME

The PLP is focused on providing a foundational or bridging programme. Geared to assist students improve their marks, this year programme bridges the academic gaps and prepares the learner for entry into vocational or occupational programmes. It is a non-credit bearing qualification with four subjects, namely:

  1. Foundational English.
  2. Foundational Mathematics.
  3. Foundational Science and
  4. Foundational Life Skills.

The PLP is not a remedial programme or aimed at students with disabilities, The PLP is focused on providing access to TVET Programmes. The PLP prepares the learner for studies at a TVET College.

 Courses Offered At Tshwane North TVET College 2023/2024  Courses Offered At Tshwane North TVET College 2023/2024   Tshwane North Technical and Vocational Education and Training College (TNC) is situated in the Greater Tshwane Metropolis of Gauteng. It consists of a corporate (Central) Office situated in the inner city of Pretoria and 6 Campuses: Mamelodi; Pretoria; Rosslyn; Soshanguve North; Soshanguve South and Temba. TNC five (5) campuses are with 25 KMs away from the central office, Temba Campus being the furthest at 41 KMs away. The College has a closed hostel at Soshanguve South Campus which could accommodate 300 students.
